Tecconnect is a facility in Lethbridge, owned and operated by Economic Development Lethbridge, that is designed to attract, incubate and develop technology companies through commercialization of products and services.

The Regional Innovation Network of Southern Alberta (RINSA) is a collaborative partnership between Lethbridge College, EDL, the University of Lethbridge, NRC-IRAP, Community Futures, SouthGrow Regional Initiative, and Alberta Southwest Regional Alliance. RINSA assists startup and SME’s to successfully navigate the commercialization system through programs and services.

Entrepreneurial training and business advising are also provided through this venue with enhanced video conferencing capacity.

The Women-in-STEM Program is a three-year program funded through Western Economic Diversification -Women Entrepreneurship Strategy program to create a STEM centric community in southern Alberta by offering training, networking, mentorship and access to current and emerging technologies. It focuses on advancing gender equality in the STEM sector by supporting under-represented women in rural and remote regions.

The Barriers to Business working group of the Lethbridge Region Economic Recovery Task Force is encouraging local businesses to make the POST (People Outside Safely Together) Promise. This initiative is national in scope and was initiated to help merchants reopen safely while building consumer and employee confidence. By making this simple commitment, participants agree to abide by the following public health recommendations:

Maintaining the recommended physical distance

Washing and sanitizing hands

Cleaning and disinfecting regularly

Staying home if unwell and self-monitoring for symptoms

Practicing respiratory etiquette (including wearing a mask when physical distancing is difficult)
